It’s true. Team Broken Chains is no more. I have had the incredible privilege of doing life with these six other women. We have lived together, ate together, prayed together, served alongside each other and shared our lives together. It wasn’t always pretty or easy, but it was always worth it. I believe that in all the teams originally put together for our squad, ours was by far the most diverse. No two of us were alike. I went into this team knowing I had teammates who sharpen me as iron sharpened iron.

Colleen is our fearless leader. She is always quick to listen. Quick to hear the voice of God. And quick to learn leadership. Her calm wisdom helped me navigate many of the struggles I came across. Now she’s a squad leader. And I have to share her with the rest of the squad, which I suppose is a good thing… Sharing is good. So I’m told 😉

Lyndsay brings so much excitement and joy to our group. Whether it was reveling in cupcakes, Duck Dynasty, or the sheer goodness of God, she has a fresh and delightful view towards life. Her delight invigorated our time as a team.

Katie our ex-marine. She’s tough as nails, but not at the expense of others. She constantly encouraged and protected us. She let us share in her military experiences, whether it was sharing in her grief for her fallen brothers, or laughing at her crazy stories, or marveling how God protected her and others in her life.

Danielle, what an incredible woman of God with so much to offer. And I almost missed out. We admittedly had a rocky start. I was not going try for friendship because she’s not who I usually hung out with. What a loss that would have been. I treasure all the more what she has taught me about being a strong and humble.

Stephie… Athletic, goofy, full of wisdom. She always wants people to believe the best about of themselves as she is on her own journey to do the same.

And Gloriel, my home girl. I’ve been blessed to find a close friend in her. A close friend who is crazy, outrageous, loves Jesus and won’t let me be anything less than myself.

At the end of Nepal, we knew to expect team changes. Our leaders want to continue an environment for growth, which involves change. I went from being on an all girls team to a coed team with a married couple. I did not expect it, but I have enjoyed the change of pace. My new team consists of…

Larisa – fellow intellectual and BBC enthusiast as well as our awesome leader.
Dave – another ex marine who loves adventure
Stephanie and Cody – the married couple as well as fellow Idahoans
Ali – someone I didn’t know at all and I now know and love
Stephie – was on Broken Chains with me and now I get to continue my journey with her.

That is team Relentless, my new family for the next few months.
