UPDATE: I am 26% funded and have officially SURPASSED my deadline of $3,500 and am current at $4,243!!!!!
Let me just explain how BIG our God is. The past month has been close to the CrAzIeSt month, maybe, that Ive ever had. Working full time, going to close to 5 doctors appointments a week, and packing up an entire house, moving with two toddlers, and living in a hotel for a week with no way to keep in contact with anyone because I shattered my phone. Needless to say, I haven’t been able to follow up with my generous supports and those of you fully committed to supporting me financially and in prayer as I prepare for the mission field. I hope that you understand!
But, how great is God? I have not been able to spend ANY time making phone calls, following up with support letters, or do absolutely anything in regards to my fundraising efforts for The World Race. I pinged a few people (5) reminding them of my deadline. Other squad mates that are leaving with me in September may be putting together large fundraising events and making dozens of phone calls in a week, but God has asked me to focus on my current job; caring for two little ones in the midst of chaos. And, by His grace, with just the little effort I put into sending and praying over each and every letter, I left it up to God to financially help me meet my first deadline. He hasn’t just done that, but I have surpassed my deadline!
God is doing something big in this journey He has asked me to take, and for those of you who have jumped on the train with me I want you to know that God has hand picked each of you and strategically placed you along my path at the PERFECT time. Some of your checks and donations and gifts have come on days when I thought I just might give up or was overwhelmed by the fact that I had no time to spend on the World Race because I was chasing after little ones. Im so excited to watch as God moves in HUGE ways as my next task is to have all of my gear items provided and in my possession BEFORE July 11. I will be going through training camp from July 12-19. Bare with me as I get my thank you notes out as we are still finishing a new house and the kids are starting a new school. Its just a tad crazy.
