Its day one, well officially day two, but us tired luminati needed a nap. We made it to Dalat Vietnam. After sorting out visa stuff we are here. It captured my heart instantly. It is a mix of Asia style and French style all in one and depending on where you stand in the city your not sure what continent your in.
We spent our morning together having a little Luminous Fellowship church. I led worship and gave the annoucements. We had a great turn out. 6 people. We also had 6 people sign up for ATL month in Dalat and come to the after lunch party. Okay enough jokes. The 6 Luminous members are very excited and hopeful. I can say each of us have a thankful heart to finally be here. We have been blessed with a great place to sleep, and you can eat really good on a really tight budget.
We decided that since it was mothers day, we would hand out flowers to some of the mothers we encountered today. So we split up in twos to take on the city and meet the people. It was wonderful to see the smiles and shocked faces of the people we were able to bless. Great idea that God of our had today. It was nice of him to share it.
Please be praying for us as we are in a closed country. This maybe the last blog I can post for awhile. The state of Vietnam is that it has churches, but they are run and monitored by the government, strictly regulated and there is little to no freedom. People are not allowed to openly worship or talk about God. So pray for our safety and our witness here. This month we feel led that generousity is a big word for us. After what we went through to get here, I allready feel redeemed and encouraged. The personal growth alone was worth it all. But I am excited to see whats coming. Pray for Vietnam.
