Ready to embrace the last two months, you must all be wondering well Melissa what now? Where are you and what will you be doing?
After 10 hours in a bus, a quick stop in Muldova, a 30 hour train to somewhere in the Ukraine and a connecting train for another 13 hours I have arrived in Lugansk Urkraine for month 10. I know, I said month 10! I am excited to be working with Forest and Darcy this month helping them with either an orphanage or teaching english to College kids. In the mean time I have spent my first day blogging, relaxing and playing with their two wonderful 11 yr olds. Nick is a Star Wars fan and had me at hello, and the original Star Wars bed sheets and lego naturally. My inner nerd rejoices.
And Natasha has brought out the girly girl as we played some Barbies. However Barbie has come a long way since our day, when all we did was go to prom and shop. Now she is married to a man who is dying of bird flu in the jungles of Africa while evangelising to the locals. She is a total Missionary kid. It was the most intense session of Barbies known to man. If the ministry is half as great as these two kids, you know I am sold. Hugs to you all and all my love.
I am off to eat me some borscht. I love the Ukraine whoot whoot.
