PERU!

PS I totally stole this pic from Rachel Hunt, just to give credit where it’s due!

Some Peruvian history (thanks wikipedia):

The history of Peru spans several millennia, Peruvian territory was home to the Norte Chico civilization, one of the oldest in the world, and to the Inca Empire, the largest state in Pre-ColumbianAmerica.

Peru is slightly smaller than Alaska and borders Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Ecuador.

The climate varies from tropical in east to dry desert in west and temperate to frigid in Andes.

The main religion is Roman Catholic which 90% of the population professes.

And my personal favorite fact(notfrom wikipedia): the formidable Lake Titicaca makes it’s home in Peru(as well as Bolivia). Lake Titicaca is the world’s highest navigablelake and the most fun to say, especially for those of us with the senseof humor of a 5 year old.

Please continue offering up prayersfor fundraising as I am at approx. $7,600 on my way to $13,800 and forpreparations as God has been hard at work on my heart and spiritualwell-being.

God bless!!

As far as ministry goes, we have been”introduced” over the internet to two people who are doing buildingprojects there.  Many people are still suffering from the effectsof the earthquake earlier this year; so we can look forward to somemanual labor as well as relational ministry… I think… more to come!
