What a week… let me try to sum up some of the craziness for you…

I left Uganda on this past Sunday and a good friend, Myal, came to visit me. It was great because I haven’t seen in him in 1 year because he has been living and working in Rwanda.  We got to catch up and talk about what God has each of us doing in Africa.  Then we headed to the Nile River in Jinja with my team to meet up with the rest of my squad.

Then I got to camp in Jinja Uganda… whipped out the tent for the first time on the trip during a much needed day off. I was invaded by ants in teh morning and it took me 30 minutes to get all the ants out of my tent but I got over it quickly.  The next day I got to do something else I’ve been wanting to do again for a long long time now…go white water rafting. Not only did I get to go but I got to raft down the Nile River on some serious class 5 rapids. Thought I was gonna die but it was such a rush!

Then, I got to accomplish one of my life goals… it sounds retarded but i’ve always wanted to bungee jump… mainly to get over a fear and to experience just the freedom of flying thru the air at 100 miles an hour. 🙂  Again, thought I was gonna fall to my death but it was probably the coolest riskiest thing I’ve ever done.

Then, I get to Nairobi 3 days ago and found out my team is completely changing. In fact, my team, Aletheia is no more. All the WR teams have changed and not only do I have a new team but I’ve been asked to lead this team. I’m SO excited and humbled by this opportunity before me and I look forward to the new changes and next chapter God has for us as we go into Tanzania in a couple days.
