Hardest month.

It was draining but when I showed up so did God.  Even when I showed up with only half of myself, God still graced us with his Presence.  Hallelujah for months that leave you with nothing left but God to rely on.  They open your eyes to the realization that we are spiritual beings; we merely have a body.  And that applies to everyone around us as well.

We were spiritually attacked, weakened physically and mentally, but we showed up with all of the same power that raised Jesus from the dead.  God is seeking the hearts of the Thai people, from prostitutes to monks to brothel owners and the people who look the other way.  No longer can we allow to stand by and watch the horrors that happen in this country.  The best way to overcome the evil is to love radically, to pray without ceasing and to believe that God wants to save the victim and the abuser.  He wants to save the monks in their orange robes and humble lifestyles.  He wants to free them.

We planted seeds; please help us water them in prayer.  For Blue, the former prostitute turned Born-Again restaurant owner, for Pa Hem the 22 year old monk with a desire to know the truth, for Emmi, the woman running the show who was once delivered from prostitution because someone took the time to love her, for my host family in the village of Mai Ai who were generous but complacent, for every unnamed man and woman in that country, please pray.

I seriously would love to take you on a photo tour of Thailand, but let's let this picture do the talking for now.

A woman offering a prayer and a sacrifice of incense to Buddha in a temple in Chiang Mai.  Buddhists' lives are driven by the fear of bad karma and they will visit the temple to try to cancel it with good karma.  It's a philosophy that seeks to deaden a person until they are absolutely comatose from desire or ambition or change.

Pray for Thailand, the 1 million Christians, and the 64 million non-Christians living there.
