I'm repeatedly hit by the awe of how unpredictable and audacious the Kingdom of God is.

Last night the 13 of us Racers sat in the main room of our house with the lights off and worshipped the God of the impossible.  Today our ministry contact is going to walk into a prison in Singapore to visit a man that he previously led to Christ (who is now facing a life sentence for drug trafficking) for a 20 minute visit.

20 minutes.

He's driven hours and left his family on his day off for the glimpse of an opportunity to instill some hope in this man.  By the world's standards, 20 minutes is not a good reason to travel to Singapore.  That's what is so astounding to me!  We operate by Kingdom Rules.  Things like: the first shall be last and the last shall be first and if you want to gain your life you have to lose it first and if you want to receive you have to give.

We're prompted to do the most ludicrous things because a glimmer of hope is sometimes all that a person needs to completely have their life wrecked by the relentless love of God. A tidal wave effect could happen in 20 minutes.  One man's life changed could mean the difference for that entire prison, for Singapore, for Southeast Asia and beyond.  I believe that that short period of time could have drastic implications for the globe.  When someone agrees to sacrifice something (their time, their pride, their ambitions, whatever) for a crazy/"stupid" idea that God has… there's no way he's not going to absolutely blow the expectations out of the water.  He's going to show up.

So I guess my challenge is that we live in such a way that every 20 minute, 1 minute, 15 second time slot is being used audaciously-go for it.  Believe in the power of something so great that even the impossible is conquerable.  If we don't, we'll get swallowed up.  So I urge you to take your life with the knowledge that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives on the inside of you… somewhere next to your atoms and blood cells and lungs resides the power of the same God that circles our planet around that Sun thing.  What are we doing with that?
