I don't think I fully grasp the depth behind that word. A word tossed around like pizza dough; so meaningless in today's society, but so significant in the Bible.
"For God so loved the world…" John 3:16
"…God is love." 1 John 4:8
"We love because he first loved us." 1 John
Often we come by this word,
but we don't stand by this word.
Our money tries to buy this word,
and our mouths often tongue tie this word.
Our empty eyes are blind to this word,
because of how we defined this word.
We mistake this word,
trying to make this word
but fake this word and break this word.
Our hardened hearts conceal this word.
Our eager ears want to hear this word.
But our lying lips choose this word;
to misuse this word & abuse this word.
Our hungry hearts assume this word;
presume this word & consume this word.
Our misled minds can reject this word,
cause people can neglect this word,
and it really can effect this word.
Jesus implied this word, never denied this word.
He died for this word, standing beside His word.
With Him, we can awake this word.
No longer mistake this word or fake this word.
Jesus is this word, was this word,
and will always be this word.
He holds the key to this word.
And in Him we are free in this word.
