It has been two weeks since I've posted a blog…. oops…

SOO instead of attempting to write a blog for each thing that has happened I am going to attempt to summarize the past two weeks..

Our time in Kenya came to an end…. and our journey into Uganda has begun!
While transitioning from Kenya to Uganda, we got to have a few days off and spend some time as a whole squad in Junji, Uganda at Adrift Adventures. While staying at adrift I got to bungee jump AND raft the Nile River…. talk about intense and exciting!

We have arrived in Bugiri, Uganda.. two weeks ago that is. Our ministry this month includes things such as: working with the local church, hospital visits, prison ministry, tons of school ministry, door to door evangelism, and visits to a local orphanage. The town we are in this month is completely different then the setting of Kenya. It has been a hard adjustment, but a good one to seek God in.

I am yet to take an actual shower this month…. and by actual I mean bucket shower… BUT the good thing is…. God has blessed us with rain and a compoud that has the perfect architectural set up for rain showers! So this month, I declare a month of rain showers! After a month and a half I have began the process of shaving my legs again.. because it is sooo much easier to shave in the rain then with a bucket!

This month was off to a rocky start… From night one sickness has had a big impact on our team. Three of my six teammates have been in and out of the local clinic. We have struggled a bit with spiritual warfare… and just being gone from home for almost 2 months now.

Our squad leaders, Sarah and Lucas, are currently spending the week with us, and have brought an intense amount of life back into our group. The sickeness phase has began to pass and all are back to good health. Yesterday, God sent us to an orphanage school to raise our spirits and open our eyes to why we are here.
We have two weeks left in Bugiri…. God is continuing to move in this community and our hearts. Daily, He is sending us constant reminders of what it means to love and be loved… and why He has placed us all together for this season of our lives to walk together here in Uganda.
