This is AFRICA!

First… I AM FULLY FUNDED!!!
Thank you so much to all of you that made this possible. You are a complete blessing to my life. I love and appreciate you sooo much! Now on to what you've made possible…

The last three months have been difficult. Asia was not my favorite. I met amazing, beautiful people. I learned so much. I had awesome hosts, nothing to really complain about but spiritually it was really dark for me. Asia was a place of worshiping a lot of other Gods, of deceit, of saving face, of hiding who you are, it felt so oppressive and is to many women. Even though I am a free woman, it left me feeling so oppressed, I couldn’t wear what I want, I couldn’t dance. I couldn’t speak to whoever I wanted.  It’s funny I’ve started like five blogs on Asia but just never finished them, there was so much turmoil in my head about them. So now that I’m not living in it if I finish I may just post them all up =) but…

1 week ago I got off the plane, after only sleeping 4 hours in two days, realizing that Qatar Airlines really is one of the best airlines ever, standing in the visa line for a long time … it happened…

I walked out of the airport into AFRICA! The air is so different, REALLY IT IS! The general feel to it is like no other continent. If you’ve been here you know what I mean. If you haven’t you are probably thinking what my friend said, “People always talk about how amazing Africa is and I didn’t understand how it could be so much more amazing, now I get it.” Africa is DIFFERENT, It is BEAUTIFUL! It is a place of MIRACLES! God is so present. (We also have stopped sweating every second, I even get to wear my jacket some nights.) We are now at debrief in Entebbe, Uganda. We are staying not too far away from Lake Victoria- very beautiful, HUGE. The only thing to do is hang out and maybe walk and get a coke. Although today I am planning on getting a mani/pedi for $4 =) LOL! We don’t have internet, Everyday we wake up to the church across the street worshipping! When we have worship at night people just wonder in worshiping and pray with us and for us. It’s awesome! I forgot how much I LOVED AFRICA until I got here. I honestly hadn’t given it too much thought and knew it would be awesome. Now that I’m here- ha ha it’s so much different! I am so excited! SO BLESSED! So pumped and so joyful to be spending the next 3 months here.

Thank you God for allowing this to be my life. For allowing so many people on my squads dreams of coming to Africa come true. For bringing me out of such oppression and into so much freedom. THANK YOU JESUS!

Oh!! One last thing…
Keith- I went to the store and saw STONEY and immediately thought of all of you men drinking this like every night. So I convinced my friend Pat he should drink it with me.

This is how we felt about it…

Then I remembered why us women never drank that. It’s terrible LOL talk about putting hair on your chest. I quickly pawned it off on some other men and tried to tell them it’s what MEN drink here. LOL Loved the memory just not the drink! Took these pics just for you! PS I don't think I ever told you b t I still have my #1 pin in my backpack you gave us for Kenya… cause God's thinks I'm #1… LOL You rock!!! Never drinking Stoney again… hopefully!
