Last week, I wasn’t able to do the things that I wanted to do on my “happy list”. I definitely had a lot more crying fits! It’s amazing how doing something that brings you life, however small it may be, really makes a difference.
I learned a few lessons as well, with this little experiment, but first here are some pics of my niece and I doing happy things. Enjoy!
We made art out of Bendaroos…Jiana made a pair of glasses and I made a seal.
Then we blew some bubbles!! I used a Bendaroo to make mine, but my niece used her own hands, and her bubbles were BIG!
Last but not least, I cuddled with my sister’s, little, white Chihuahua named Luna.
Here she is laying right on top of my head. It’s amazing how something so little can bring so much joy.
I learned some very important lessons from doing some very simple things.
1. To suffer because others are suffering (i.e. carrying another’s burdens) is actually a gift from God. It means that my heart can identify with what Jesus felt, when he walked this earth, and with what He still feels for His children.
2. Suffering doesn’t last forever. Joy is always to follow. Just like when Christ suffered a terrible, torturous death….resurrection came after. Amen 🙂
3. There is no shame in being vulnerable, and exposing my heart until it is raw. Even if we don’t get the results we were hoping for….to be vulnerable is to love (the video below explains this real well).
