Have you ever had such an intense love for someone you didn’t even know? You simply gazed upon their face, and something inside you fluttered. You were instantly captivated…..and you couldn’t explain how or why it was even possible.
Is it possible to feel that way for an entire people group?!
When I was 6 years old, I experienced love at first sight, for the very first time…
I remember going on a school field trip, to a cultural center, that taught us about Native America.
He walked in, and the moment I saw him…I was in love.
Not with him, because he was a grown man, and I was only 6, but with his entire culture and nationality.
I don’t even know what tribe he was from, but I was instantly hooked, and I wanted to know more.
This love has never left, I have carried it my entire life.
What breaks my heart, are the issues Natives are facing today.
Did you know?
The suicide rate for American Indians/Alaska Natives was 10.84 per 100,000, higher than the overall US rate of 10.75…according to SPAN USA.
This is a massive problem. These people are screaming for help.
Please intercede with me, on behalf of Native America, for these specific things:
- Salvation-deliverance-transformation of the heart.
- Spiritual awakening of their calling in Christ.
- Healing (mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually)
- Breaking of strongholds and territorial spirits.
- Cleansing of the land from these spirits.
- Reconciliation/Forgiveness
- Economic Empowerment
- Revival
- For Native youth to have a hunger for God.
- Workers-raised up Native leaders, pastors, and godly teachers.
- For America to have a greater awareness and a deeper understanding and love for these people.
- For the Lord to continue to draw them to Himself.
Is love at first sight real? I absolutely believe it is….do you?
