I don’t think I have ever been so exhausted in my life…but it’s so awesome to see all the wonderful things God has been using my hands and feet for. Yesterday we literally dug a ditch. I have a lot of respect for people who do construction day in and day out…it is really, really hard work. Although I can’t feel my arms anymore, it was a great day full of laughs and an over abundance of joy from the Lord…thank you Jesus. Afterwards, we went to visit some friends of the contact we worked for. I met this woman named Anajulia. She was so sweet. She had such an amazing story to tell. She already has 3 kids and she took in 3 more that were living on the street. Then she found out she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She never went to her chemo instead she prayed and asked God to heal her, because if she died, what would happen to those children she just took into her home. Praise God, she was fully healed. I couldn’t help but cry and hug her, she touched my heart so much.
Today I got to go work with malnourished babies. They were adorable!!! We fed them every 2 hours, put them to sleep, gave them baths…the works! 9 hours of babies and only a break long enough to scarf down some ramen noodles, can make for a very draining day. But I can’t get those beautiful babies out of my head. Thank you Jesus for all of these amazing opportunities.
