When I first started raising funds for the World Race, I sent up a prayer asking for a visual sign that this trip was something I was suppose to be doing. I figured I’d just get a feeling or maybe a word of affirmation from a friend. Two days after I put in my request to heaven, I checked my funding status and I had sky rocketed from 20% funded to 60%. Well, there was the visual sign I asked for. No turning back after that. (: The support has not stopped and I am SO thankful to say that I am completely, 100% funded for the 11 months I will be gone. I can’t express my thanks enough to the Lord and everyone that has stepped forward and helped me out along the way.
Buying all the gear, packing, good byes to people I love, and all the other emotions that have come with this, have not made it easy. But God is good and has blessed me in so many more ways then you could imagine. I am grateful to my awesome community, family, and friends, that believe in me, even when I don’t believe in my self.
Today is the first day of launch in Atlanta, Georgia. We have about 4 days of last minute training and then we fly to Europe on Tuesday! I am so excited to grow with my team over the next year, as well as grow in myself with who I am.
I realize I have a whole year ahead of me, but part of me is super excited to get back so I can tell ya’ll about all the awesome things I know God is going to do in these next months! 🙂
