Hello everyone! Whether you are a family member of mine, a close friend, a fellow world racer, or someone who randomly found my blog, welcome! I am 20 years old (yes, a bit young for the world race, but oh well), I’m originally from Phoenix, Arizona but now I live in Eugene, Oregon, and I am so excited about what God is doing in me and through me and for bringing me to the World Race. I am a Christian Ministries major and Bible and Theology minor at Northwest Christian University and am living my life for God. I am currently leading two bible studies (small groups or life groups) and am on a street ministry team, Parable. Parable was started a few years ago at my school and we learn silent dramas (we are silent but they are to music) that each tell a story about Jesus’ love for us and then we take them out on the streets and perform them. Then we use the dramas as a conversation starter and evangelize. Anyways, I will post a blog later about Parable and explain it better and in more detail.
 
Meet Parable 🙂

 

So I came to Christ when I was 15 when a friend of mine started bringing me to church. There wasn’t a specific day that I can remember that I really started believing but instead it was a gradual process over the course of a semster. I don’t think it should have been like that or taken so long for me to start understanding but that’s how it was. Anyways, since then God has been changing my heart, my dreams, my relationships, and basically my entire life. And I love it. He has been challenging me to step outside of myself, do some things that scares me, and become a leader. Some of these things include, speaking in front of churches, encouraging others in their faith and keeping them accountable, opening up and trusting people, and loving and praying for the people who have wronged me. I asked God to use me, and He is.

Hmm, some random things about me..

-I have the cutest and sweetest pug in the world. His name is Elmo.

-I love the TV shows Friends and Lost.

-I have amazing friends and I love them all.

-My family is very loving and supportive and I am very thankful for them.

-I love to read, write, and learn new things.

-I love adventures!

-I love to vacation in Rocky Point, Mexico

-I have never drank or smoked before.

-I am known for overloading my schedule and taking on too much…

-I am a city girl but I have been exposed to the country life and love it too.
