Since living with Pastor and his family I have seen God in so many of the little moments. These moments can pass you by and you might miss that little bit of the Kingdom before your eyes unless you are staying vigilant. Here are moments when I “Found Waldo”.
~When I see Pastor and Pastora interacting with each other and with their children I see the Godly love that flows between all the members of the family. Gentle gestures of love, serving each other in the little daily tasks and serving the Kingdom through their church.
~When I see the two older children, Emmanuel and Deborah so lovingly taking care of little Anna-Ruth, it is clear that showing the love of God is top priority for every member of this family.
~God’s love also flows through the people of this church. The passion as they sing and worship during services is a blessing, even when I cannot understand every word. I see the love and praise in their faces.
~ When a women from the church invites your team to her house for dinner after only meeting you once and prepares a delicious meal for you.
~ When church members bring you fruits as a gift.
~When members of your team are sick and Pastora asks what she can cook so that everyone can try to eat the meal. She has gone out of her way this past week to make sure that we could eat as sickness has been affecting everyone to some degree.
~When the church ladies become your friends and lovingly greet you as family each time they see you. I’ve been called pretty so many times by our sweet friend Alba this month!
~When the children come to find you to play, even if they don’t speak your language, because they enjoy spending time with you.
~But mostly, when my teammates spend quality time with me and share their lives.
