At training camp, I honestly wasn’t sure what I would think if I were placed on an all girls team for the World Race. Don’t get me wrong- girls aren’t bad. In fact I really like being a girl. But I just wasn’t sure if I would enjoy hanging out with a bunch of girls 24/7 for an entire year. The thought made me cringe a bit. I knew that God would put the teams together perfectly and that He knew what we needed more than we did. I was actually shocked when I was placed on the team that I was on. We were the Kingdom Seekers, and it was awesome.
At debrief, a couple of weeks ago, our team changed completely. God needed Kurt to be back home in the states. It was the best place for him. It was sad to see him go, but at the same time, it was clear that God was moving in his life and had plans for him at home. Thomas, a dear brother and friend, was moved to another team that only had one male. It was again completely obvious that God desired that to happen. He eased us into this change as Thomas’ new team and my new team are living together and doing ministry together this month in Bolivia.
So that leaves us 5 women as a team! And honestly, I couldn’t be happier. Mostly because God’s hand was so clearly a part of this change and His will is so obviously in place. And I have bonded with each of the women on my team so much the first couple of months; I can’t imagine not finishing the race with them. I think that we will be so wonderful moving as an all girls team, just the 5 of us. We are great at challenging each other in our walks with the Lord, we all have clear hopes of where we want to be and we all love each other well. I am very excited to see what God has in store for us the rest of the race.
My new team’s name is… (drum roll please…) MAIDENS OF VALOR! We thought hard about our new name and loved this name. Maidens embraces femininity, which we are all learning little by little how important that characteristic is. Valor means lionness, fearless or strong, which we are also in the process of embracing and growing in.

I´m so excited to see God move in my life and my team members´ lives.
Also, I am about $920 short of this next deadline, April 1st. After that, I will have one more deadline left to be fully funded. I ask that you prayerfully consider donating to my race. I know that I am right where God wants me and that He will provide, and if you would like to be a part of that, you totally can be. You can donate by clicking the ¨support me¨ tab on the left, under my photo, here on my blog. Thank you all so much for your continued support, reading my blogs and praying for me. I´m so blessed to have you all in my life.
I am planning on posting a blog tomorrow about my progress with my ¨mess¨ you read about in my last blog post. Thanks so much for following my journey and walk with God.
