Seven months ago I traveled to Georgia & experienced/survived the week known as Training Camp.

It was that week that teams within the squad were announced.
& I found I would be spending the next year with six other women (Cody, Emili, Lisa, Liz, Mary and Trish) in the closest community I have ever experienced.

Seventh Sparrow

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."   Matthew 10:29-31

As women, we often struggle with the our self-worth & we forget where our true value is found. We looked at these verses as a strong reminder that we are treasured, adored, sought after, cherished, & loved by a God who intentionally created us & knows each of us deeply & personally.

But for everything there is a season.

At the end of month four O squad experienced its first team change.
Team changes are a normal process for every squad that is part of the race. As new squad leaders* are raised up there are adjustments that have to be made.

For my squad three new squad leaders were raised up
Ben. Jake. Kellie.
Stoked.

Each of the six teams within the squad underwent change. & while some changes more drastic than others, it was change nonetheless.

At the end of month four my team lost a member as Mary returned home.
And I was given a new team.
Cody, Emili, Lisa, Liz, Trish.
Wait. Aren't those the same people?
Yes, however while our team does not look entirely different than it did before, the six of us are a completely different team.

& With this change our team a new identity.

We needed a fresh start; a new beginning.

So we gave ourselves a new name: Lego.

Because we are building on God's foundation.
As sisters in Christ we are called to build each other up.
We have each identified something in our lives that we need to let go of.
Because we are committed to letting go of anything and everything that is not pushing us more towards God.

So here we are: month five of 11.
& I am glad my team was not broken up any more than it was. Which is not something I could have said honestly even a month ago. I am thankful for the opportunity to continue learning about and from these women. Excited about the ministry we will be doing together as the race goes on. Thankful for the peace I feel about my team. Thankful for the friendships.
