Once upon a time when I was young
I told myself I would never grow up to become my mom.
I do not know why I thought that being like my mother would be the worst thing in the world.
Seriously, my mom possesses so many wonderful qualites and characteristics that is is beyond foolish of me to say that I would not want to, in some form or fashion, resemble her.
I wish it had not taken me as long as it did for me to fully appreicate who my mother is.
If I end up like my mother, this is how I would look:
I would be a woman who loves God and pursues his heart.
A woman who prays.
A woman who daily applies God's word to her life.
A woman of firm faith.
I would be the greatest example of a God fearing woman in my own daughter's life.
I would be a constant source of engouragement. (Seriously, my mom is full of some great stuff).
A woman with a generous spirit.
A woman who loves and respects her husband.
A woman with a compassionate heart & who loves unconditionally.
A woman who know the value of hard work & is not afriad of it.
A woman who is not afriad to cry.
I would be a servant leader.
A woman who is passionate and appreciates the small things in life.
A woman who is always thinking of others before herself.
A woman who no matter how many times she is knocked down continues to get back up.
A woman who does not faint in the storms.
A woman who spends time with her children and invests in them.
A woman of her word.
A committed and faithful woman.
A woman who is constantly learning.
A woman who forgives.
A woman who comforts.
A woman who listens.
A woman who can find the positive in every situation.
A woman of beauty and strength.
A worthy woman.
A woman who creates a home within a house.
A woman who teaches.
A woman who laughs.
A woman who gives 100 percent in all that she does.
A humble woman.
A woman who is genuine.
A trustworthy woman.
A gentle woman.

If I end up like my mother I will consider it one of the greatest blessings.
My mother is lovely.
Thankful. Blessed. Loved.

Happy Mother's Day.
23 years my mom. 4 years my friend.
