Sad news….I lost two teammates ๐
Happy news…I gained two new teammates! ๐
Before coming to Israel, we spent three days in Istanbul, Turkey enjoying times of teaching, worship and bonding as new teams.
Some may be asking why we change teams periodically on the World Race. And the answer is that sometimes changes must be made to achieve overall squad health. It’s not that any teams were bad, but, rather, that with a few switches many teams would be much better. The squad leaders have the opportunity to travel around to all the teams over the first couple of months and observe the team dynamics. Through this process, they saw the whole picture of spiritual, personality, and ministry strengths and after much prayer and direction from God, they decided to move some people around.
In the changes, Team Fuel lost Colin Langston and Marissa Villa (they are now part of Team Chrysalis and loving it!).
And we became Team Journey with the addition of Anna Notario and Adam Coleman.
Anna is an amazing woman of God. She is passionate about prayer and bringing revival to her hometown, Austin, Texas, in addition to spreading the gospel of love around the world. Anna brings me so much joy and I am so grateful to be on her team! One fun fact about her, she owns a banana stand (called Bananrchy) in Austin, based on the on in the TV show, Arrested Development. She recently let us taste the fruit of her labor….see picture below! It was delicious! ๐
Adam is an incredibly gifted and funny guy! He not only plays the guitar amazingly, but he is one of the best worship leaders that I have ever worshiped with! Adam is also one of the few people who can be so sick that he can’t move and still have us all rolling with laughter. I learned that just recently, as he contracted this rare bacterial infection in his stomach and had to fly home last Monday. We miss him, and his jokes, but he is doing much better and we are hopeful that he will be back in time to spend Thanksgiving with us here in Israel! Please join us in praying for a complete and speedy recovery. I feel so blessed that he is on my team!
