Way back in March, month 8, I had an experience in Africa that I will never forget. The girls on my team spent 3 days in a traditional Maasai village in central Tanzania. Honestly, this might have been my favorite period of the race. We were hot, sweaty, smelly, gross, the food was not good, and we were tired… but we saw the incredible love of God. We saw him heal and bring salvation and felt his love and compassion for abused women and children.
My teammate,
Hope, turned our experience into a beautiful, captivating story. You can read it by clicking
here: It is long, but well worth your time…so grab a coffee, kick up your feet and enjoy!
Here are a few pictures to go along with the story…

(the Maasai have beautiful voices and dancing)
(the giant skull spider near our tents…his net really was huge)
