I can’t believe that it’s done. I can’t believe that I traveled the world in 2011 and 2012 is just around the corner. I was told that it would be the longest and shortest year of my life. I thought I understood but I really had no idea what that meant.
I remember in Mozambique (June) feeling so discouraged that I was only halfway through the race.
I remember thinking in Cambodia (September) that November would never get here.
Now it’s November and I’m home and when I think about it, it seems like it was all a dream. It seems like 11 months is combined into one blurred memory. There are times that it hits me and I think to myself, ‘Oh I just got back from an eleven month mission trip. Oh my, I did.’
What an amazing year it has been.
And now that the year has come to an end, I can finally answer the infamous question, ‘So what’s next?’
I believe God is calling me to a season of working on the mission field but not in the normal way we think of it. In January I start an 8 month apprenticeship with Adventures in Missions (the organization that runs the world race). I learned this year that we could not have served abroad if the AIM staff didn’t serve us by doing all the behind-the-scenes work that they do. I am excited to have the opportunity to help in the behind-the-scenes work to allow others to experience what I did and allow them to further God’s Kingdom around the world.
All staff at Adventures in Missions raises their own salary, which means that I will be raising my own salary, which is about $1,700/month I am so thankful for this opportunity that the Lord has given me to continue to serve Him at Adventures in Missions. I am in need of people who are willing to partner with me and support me financially. Monthly donors are very much needed, but any donation is appreciated. Please email me and let me know if you are interested in supporting me and I will give you the needed information. ([email protected])
Adventures In Missions is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) non- profit organization, so all donations are tax deductible. 🙂
Thank you in advance and God bless.
