It’s hard to believe that we have already spent a month in Romania and are now in Romania.  Romania
was absolutely awesome… leaving Romania
has been the hardest thus far.

This month we spent our time working with Living Hope
Foundation, the only evangelical church I noticed in Pitesti, Romania.  They aren’t a huge church, but God is
definitely using the congregation to HUGE things in the community.

Saturdays they hold a program in the neighborhood called
Razboieni.  Razboieni felt just like home
(well the home I’ve always wanted)….it’s the hood.  They use the time as an opportunity to spend
time with the kids and minister to them and really just love on them.  In an area where kids may not get love from
their parents or may be abused emotionally/physically, on Saturdays they have
the opportunity to escape to a safe place and see the love of Christ.

This program is held at a school-they rent out the bottom
floor of a school.  Our project this was
to paint the four rooms they rent out (A young kids room, a girls room, a boys
room, and a room for the women that come and drop their kids off).

We didn’t just paint the walls, but we put some baller
murals up.  Because of lack of time we
only got to put up murals in two rooms.
The kids room got Noah and the boys room got Jonah.

We spent an hour each afternoon teaching English to a lot of
the same kids that we saw at the Saturday program.  Erin, our amazing teacher of the group, set
up some amazing lesson plans.  At the end
of the month, she ended on animals and descriptions of animals, which allowed
us to take a field trip to the local zoo!

This month was better than amazing, and it’s definitely been
the hardest place to leave.. not because of the Romania itself, but because of
having to say goodbye to our new family there.
