My team: The 112 is doing ATL/UHC this month in Bangkok. I already have a smattering of stories, words from the Lord and pictures that encompass this week we've had.
It is kind of surreal what God can do with some wifi, a few baht in my pocket and the willingness to walk.
BUT that isn't neccesarily where I want to start.
I want to start way back in Romania.
You see, the WR is like my real life in a way I didn't think it would be.
At home I had 2 jobs, I babysat, I was involved in different ministries at my church and I had a social life (or tried too).
I thought "Hmm, I am going on this race thing, I'll do ministry, have team time, call it a day."
Not True.
Way, way back in Lima I was asked to be my team finance person. Sure ok. One extra thing that I would do. I did it kicking and screaming at first but then in Romania at the end of debrief I was asked to step down from finance and step into something new.
Unsung Heroes Coordinator.
I would be working alongside my lovely friend Chelsey [who had been apart of the campaign since the beginning]. Together we would walk teams through their months doing UHC. We would support them, talk to the office, revise documents, encourage the teams through the month and also train each team as they went into their month.
Seemed fun.
Now it's month 9. I've gone through months where I've just done UHC coordinator, where I've done UHC and finance, UHC and team leading. And all of it has made me realize that God calls me to more.
He doesn't want me to have a normal boring mundane life. He has given me skills and giftings to use and he wants me to use them.
I've been blessed the last 4 months or so to be able to walk alongside teams doing UHC. To hear the stories on a weekly basis- as they are happening- about what God is doing in each country. I have been able to see where God is, what He is doing in the different countries along the race.
And let me tell you: God is moving. Even in the darkest of places. In each country God is there. He is in the townships in Capetown, in the dark villages that are plaqued with witchcraft in Moziambique.
He is here in Thailand, in Bangkok.
I have been so excited to walk with other teams in their UHC journey's each month.
And this month it's my turn.
Be on the lookout for more stories of the 112 in Bangkok.
