You are totally singing that song now right?
A YouTube video of my favorite Christmas song may or may not be at the end of this post [spoiler: it's not this song]

It's chilly outside, all I want is a red-cup from Starbucks…
Oh wait, I have that coffee cup.

Let's start again- It's chilly outside, I'm drinking some coffee from my favorite Starbucks red Christmas cup and I am about to write a Christmas list like never before.

Because exactly two months from today I will be flying out for launch for the World Race [say what?!]

So here, my lovely friends, are 5 things I would love for Christmas:

1. PRAYER: As a lot of my squad-mates and I have been finding out- this post training camp/ pre launch time is kind of rough. And we haven't even got to January yet. I would LOVE your prayer and support in that way. I don't just want it but need it. There is no way I will be able to go on this adventrue without your prayer. For ways you can pray for me check out this blog.

2. PLANE TICKET: I have to make way to D.C in January and would love some help getting that ticket. If you would like to contribute to my fund for a ticket go to my PayPal donate page.

3. SHOTS: Need I say more? If you would like to help me with getting some shots you can also once again go to my PayPal donate page.

4. STUFF: Yes, I know that is so distinguishing. But below you will find a list/ a link to my REI gift registry. Do you have one of these things lying around? Shoot me a message- I'd LOVE to take it off your hands.

  • Pocket knife or multi-tool knife (one or two per team)
  • Earplugs and Eye mask (a must for light sleepers)
  • A watch (don't be that guy that everyone is waiting on)
  • Camera (you'll really, really want one)
  • Outlet Converter/Voltage Converter (if you want to charge your stuff over the 11 months that you're gone, these will be essential)
  • Jump drive (great for sharing pictures and videos)
  • Travel locks (or key ring to slide through both zipper handles)
  • Carabineers (somehow they always seem to come in handy)
  • Nalgene/Waterbottle
  • First Aid kit (one per team)
  • Clothes line (expect to hand wash your clothes most of the year)
  • Small portable speakers (for those must have dance parties)
  • Ear phone splitter (Get the "star" one with 5 spots so you can watch movies with others on various planes, trains, and automobiles)
  • An external hard drive (fill it with movies and music and then back up your photos from the field)
  • Water Filter (one per team)
  • target/walmart/kmart gift cards for all those lovely little travel things

And here is my REI list [and yes I put an ankle wrap on there. Have you met me?]

5. FUNDRAISING: I need help! I am officially drawing a blank and would LOVE your ideas etc. About fundraising. You are probably MUCH smarter then me.

So thank you for reading my Christmas List. As promised…here is a song. It's MY FAVORITE YouTube christmas video. I sang this song for 8 straight Christmas….seriously it will give you chills!

PS Check out my Twitter [@megmagnolia] tomorrow as my 60 days to Launch starts- Praying for a different squadmate each day!
