[something I have posted on my other blogs. I wrote it based on an activity at an arts gathering where we wrote our identity on one side of the card and the challenges to that identity on the other. I have never written something and looked back and seen completely who I am in it as much as with this poem.]
I AM
I am a women of God
who through being broken
is able to know
Christ makes me whole
Through that love
overwhelming
constant
I am given
ENTRUSTED
with the words
to remind others
That they are created for GOOD
I am planted in HIM
and HIS love
HE is
my constant
reminder
of hope.
I am meant for GOOD
created for good
and I long to do good.
I am hindered
by the fear
that I will fall back
into my brokeness
and be crippled
from the inability to create
And the fear
that I will listen to the
loudly shouting world
and forget my overarching story.
I am someone who desires
that the overflow of my heart
be Christ Heart
I am someone
who yearns
to remain in HIS love
and
become restored
by His grace.
