As many of you know if you have read my previous blogs that I have grown up with an obsession for Disney World and Donald Duck!! God convicted me of this, because it had in fact become a god in my life and my main focus of life.
June 9, is Donald Duck's birthday. He will be 78. (And yes, I have made birthday cakes on his birthday before).
Yesterday at church I received the coolest birthday card ever. It was a birthday card for Donald Duck, and in honor of his birthday a couple in my Sunday School class has donated $78 towards my World Race trip.
This has to the most creative thing I've seen since starting fundraising!! So I just wanted to share it with you!! And even though I have sold my Donald Duck collection, and given up all things Disney in my life…if you are a Disney fanatic and feel called to donate $78 in honor of Donald's birthday, I promise I won't turn you away!! We will celebrate together!!! Like I said in my previous post God can and will use anything to further His kingdom if only we will let Him.
