It has only taken me 2 months out of the states to realize, it really is the little things in life!! I am stubborn, hard headed at times, and even slow…so YES it did take God sending me on an 11 month journey for me to realize this! God has blessed us this month in more ways than I can count!! Some of these things might seem silly, that in America we take for granted on a daily basis. I would like to share with you a few of the ways God has blessed me this month!!
- The month started out AMAZING when we found out we didn't have to sleep in our tents, like we were originally told!! (By the end of the month I kind of missed the privacy I get from being in my tent! But don't tell anyone I admitted I missed it.)
- Cold showers!!! Never in a million years did I think I'd be thankful for them, but with the heat index above 100 the majority of the first part of the month…I looked forward to them!
- We didn't have to bathe in the river like we were originally told!! That doesn't even need an explanation!

- Waking up EVERY morning to at least 5 or 6 beautiful voices, "Buenos dias Tia Margarita!!" (My Spanish name because the kids can't say Meghan.)
- Being greeted with hugs, kisses, and "Hola Tia Margarita" any and every time I saw them!

- Pajama Parties, dance parties, birthday parties, movie nights….yep we basically partied ALL month with the girls! (Guys did camp outs and fires.)
- Sharing morning devotionals, and daily promises with the girls home and Tia Miriam.

- Dr visit and medicine for my hands!! Even BIGGER blessing that I didn't have flesh eating bacteria! 🙂
- Free pair of flip flops for my teammate, Kaitlyn who felt God telling her to go barefoot for the day.
- 8 bananas traded for a bag of popcorn.
