A little over 2 years ago I made a commitment that would change my life. I signed up for my first international mission trip!! God sent me to India…Hyderabad and Rahjamondry India to be exact. It was one of the most amazing and hardest experiences I’ve ever had. I cried every day. I learned the easiest thing in the world to do, is to love the “untouchables”. God gave me the opportunity to witness to the hill tribes, preach in the streets, teach in the schools, play in the streets with the “slumdogs”, and so many other things. I felt like I was walking down the streets of gold in Heaven as I walked through the paths of the slums hand in hand with a child who had been rejected by society. I felt the embrace of Jesus himself as a leper reached out and hugged me and wouldn’t let go.
I knew when I boarded the plane back to the States that I wasn’t going home, I was in fact leaving my home. Through a series of events the doors taking me back to India for full time missions closed in my face. Then the World Race came into my life. My original squad was going to spend Christmas in India and I couldn’t think of a better Christmas present this side of Heaven. 2 days before training camp, God closed the door to India once again when He told me to switch routes.
I mourned. I questioned. I didn’t understand. But I obeyed.
Over the past 4 days the door to India has swung WIDE OPEN!! Our route has been changed and we are no longer going to Australia. I serve an amazing God!! Not only are we going to India but we are flying into Hyderabad! MY HOME!! The very place I left my heart. This might seem minor to some people, especially since we don’t know our ministries yet, but there are about a dozen international airports in India that we could land at and God has chosen Hyderabad.
I am so excited about what He is doing and what He is going to do in India through L-squad. One thing stands between me and India right now…..FUNDRAISING! Our final deadline is March 1st. If I don’t meet this deadline I will be sent home to the States and the door to India will be shut once again.
Every dollar helps!! So please prayerfully consider sponsoring me today!! Send me home to Hyderabad, India!!!!
