God has absolutely blown me away with fundraising. From the time my first support letter posted until I reached the $3500 mark was 13 days. 13 short days!! And provided money for my pack and immunizations. I serve an amazing God who always leaves me speechless.
Tonight on my way home, doubt started to fill my mind because support checks didn't come in this week and I quickly forgot the miracles God has already done. I thought of how easy it is for others to raise their money and for some who perhaps the money is literally just handed to them. (It was a bad day today so it wasn't hard for the devil to get me in a doubting mood). I decided I was tired of thinking about everything and needed a distraction so I turned the radio on. And God spoke these lyrics….
"If it all just happened overnight, you wouldn't know how much it means. If it all just happened overnight, you would never learn to believe, in what you cannot see."
Then the tears came (for the 100th time today). God please forgive me for being quick to forget YOU are the one who has called me to the mission trip. YOU know when the money will post. YOU know who will choose to be apart of an amazing trip. YOU knew all this and more before I answered YES!! to YOUR calling.
So tonight I am praying for those of you who are praying about if you should support me or not and how much you should support. God already knows who and how much will be given. He also knows the ones who want to give but at this time can't financially but are daily on their knees lifting up my team and myself. He will provide in His time…and in the meantime I am learning to FULLY rely on Him and trust Him with everything I have.
