Day 1 – We are thankful for a restful day at Laguna da Apoyo today!
Day 2 – We are thankful for corporate worship with our entire squad!
Day 3 – We are thankful for the opportunity to take part in the 2012 presidential election! Praises to being walking distance from the U.S. Embassy in Managua!
Day 4 – We are thankful that our wonderful camp manager allowed us to eat at camp for $5 a day, allowing us to stay within our food budget! What a blessing!
Day 5 – We are thankful for smooth travel days! Praying that all our travel days can be as smooth!
Day 6 – We are thankful to be a part of the coffee ministry at Vida Joven Nicaragua that brings Nicaraguan youth to camp to learn about Jesus and experience His incredible love!
Day 7 – We are thankful for surprise chocolate gifts from our amazing contacts Ann and Danny Sharpe!
Day 8 – We are thankful for Mario and William’s patience and forgiveness – even when our team hacked down their precious coffee plants…
Day 9 – We are thankful that we have all of our limbs after a few days of macheteing in the coffee fields.
Day 10 – We are thankful for amazing friends – both on our squad and back home! We love you all!
Day 11 – We are thankful for peanut butter on wheat bread at every meal! (I think we each managed to finish off our own jar – the 40oz jar)
Day 12 – We are thankful for chocolate caliente a.k.a. hot chocolate!
Day 13 – We are thankful for Ann and Danny taking us to the labyrinth to fully experience what it is like to walk through it as kid at camp would go through it!
Day 14 – We are thankful for the opportunity to go to a Young Life Club for the Youth in Matagalpa! So many laughs and great times!
Day 15 – We are thankful for God’s strength that allowed us to make it through a week of mixing concrete to make cement posts!
Day 16 – We are thankful that we had an amazing kitchen staff that cooked all of our meals!
Day 17 – We are thankful that we got to enjoy a little more of God’s beautiful creation on the beaches of Tamarindo, Costa Rica!
Day 18 – We are thankful for Skype and FaceTime conversations that stay connected for longer than 5 seconds! Even if it takes 5 tries to stay connected!
Day 19 – We are thankful for hot showers! Cannot express how amazing it was to have a hot shower in a place that was shockingly colder than we had expected!
Day 20 – We are thankful that our humble-abode had a fireplace to get us through the cold evenings!
Day 21 – We are thankful for sunrise walks through the labyrinth to grow more deeply in love with our Savior Jesus Christ! Such peace and beauty!
Day 22 – We are thankful for our loving families! We miss you dearly! Hope you had a little extra turkey and stuffing for us!
Day 23 – We are thankful to wash our work clothes for the first time all month! Yes, we wore the same outfit to work without washing it all month! 🙂
Day 24 – We are thankful for morning devotions with the Vida Joven staff! Such a blessing to sing and learn about Jesus in another language!
Day 25 – We are thankful that we had the opportunity to workout and acquire P90X for those extra killer workout sessions!
Day 26 – We are thankful for our BBQ and dance party with Raul and the other workers! Finally got to see Raul in action!
Day 27 – We are thankful for all the relationships we created during our month at Vida Joven – you will forever have a place in our hearts!
Day 28 – We are thankful for no sickness November! We both managed to stay away from sickness as wellas the rest of our team!
Day 29 – We are thankful for all of the ministries that we have been apart of here in Central America! Agape in Action, Open Door Ministries, and Vida Joven Nicaragua you have all impacted us in ways that can only be explained by love and joy that God has shown us through you!
Day 30 – SO INCREDIBLY THANKFUL FOR ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL SUPPORTERS! Your prayers and financial support are such an incredibly blessing! Forever thankful!
