This is a blog for you mom and dad.
And for all the Race parents out there.
A blog to simply say thank you.
Thank you for letting me go
And releasing me into the care of our Father
For these past 8 months
And the three months ahead.
Thank you for laying down your wants, your desires, your wishes.
For coming before the throne with open hands
In complete surrender, full dependency and borderless trust
So my Daddy could do the work in and through me that He needed to do.
Thank you for allowing this year of your life to have a missing part in it.
A missing person at the table.
A missing voice in our car jams.
A missing dance partner on our living room dance floor.
For me to miss family holidays, birthdays and celebrations
And a year of making memories together
So that I could make my own with our bigger, worldwide family.
Thank you for not making this race just mine
But for walking on this journey with me
beside me
together
as a family.
For learning as I’m learning.
For changing as I’m changing.
And growing as I’m growing.
Thank you for pressing into your own relationship with the Lord.
For using this year as a shift in your life.
To be bold.
To be courageous.
To be speak life into others.
To speak life into yourself.
Becoming more aware of your identity as His son and daughter.
Thank you for letting down your walls through this journey.
For opening up
For softening your hearts
to the Lord’s powerful work in you.
For putting yourself on the Potter’s wheel
So your Father could mold you
And shape you
Into beautiful masterpieces.
And lastly mom and dad
Thank you for the way you unconditionally love me,
The grace you continuously extend to me,
And the way you relentless pursue me.
You are representations of Him
And because of your love,
It is easier to accept and believe my Father’s love.
I can’t say thank you enough.
Know that you are just as much of a part of this journey
And I am so proud to be your daughter.
