It seems my two most frequent questions here have been: Do you know Jesus? & Do you have a WiFi password? Free WiFi is actually really tough to find in Australia. Who knew?! My apologies for taking so long to update all of you.

Today is my tenth day in Australia. I’m honestly still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that I’m here. It’s a dream come true. This place is so amazing! Its beauty is breathtaking!

For the first week here, our entire squad (40+ people) stayed together in the same location, at East Gate Church in Byron Bay. Byron is a really cool place with a lot of people from all over the world. It’s quite the touristy spot. With such an influx of people, cultures, and religions, you can understand why it’s a great spot for ministry. Our entire time here in the land down under is in partnership with YWAM. Google it. We are basically jumping in right alongside them in some of their various ministries, but we’ve also had some opportunities to create our own ministry as well. It’s pretty cool to see what happens when we earnestly seek to follow where the Spirit is leading.

Aside from beach volleyball ministry (yes, I’m serious!!), one of my favorite service opportunities here so far has been working with Liberation Larder. Lib Larder is a non-religious outreach that prepares and serves meals to the homeless in Byron Bay. We were specifically told not to speak about Jesus to anyone at Lib Larder, but that sure didn’t stop the Spirit from moving! It was so neat to see how the Lord worked that day!

I appreciate all of your encouragement and prayers! My prayer for the last few days has been for God to show up big. I’m not exactly sure what I mean by that prayer, but I’m excited to see how He answers.

PS my finger is healing up so well! Thanks for the prayers!
