well i think it’s safe to say, i wasn’t great at blogging for my Nicaragua and Guatemala trip. The Lord is giving me a second chance to do it better this time!

As you can tell by my blog post title, i have been accepted for the amazing opportunity to continue missions in Africa! i will be traveling to Southern Africa in: Johannasburg, Lothoso and Swaziland.

i wanna take this blog post to explain what drew my heart to Africa, what i hope to accomplish there and a sneak peak into how i will be fundraising.

As most people know, my Nic/Guat trip was cut halfway short due to corona. just in the short time i was there with the people, my team and God, my life and heart changed forever. on the night of February 9th, a few days before my 19th birthday, i declared my life to Christ and was baptized. from that moment i’ve begun to understand the life living as a devoted Christian wanting to serve God in the best way possible. i have learned to understand his unfailing love and faithfulness. i could go on forever how God shows me constantly he is with me but instead, ill leave that for how he will move in Africa.

For now, i want to focus in on how i decided on Africa for the semesters trip 2021. i knew i wasn’t done with missions. its where i learned what pure joy and love feel like. i want to be surrounded with Gods prosperous children. i had two trips in mind at first. going back to Central America for three countries, one being ometepe at CICRIN where i was baptized and obviously, Africa.

i’m sure you have heard the best time to worship is while driving. its very true haha. i was out one night, driving around listening to my worship music and all the sudden i was struck. not by lightening or sadness but by the Holy Spirits laughter. i have seen this one time from a girl on my team but i didn’t think i would experience it. during this time i was just uncontrollably laughing, pure joy. and i just yelled out Africa. i knew thats where God was leading me. so i signed up the next day. i have no idea what God has in store for me and my future team but i know once again, he will transform my heart.

Although Africa is my next adventure, it will not be free. world race has given a generous 1000 dollars off of my trip because my trip was cut early. so i will have to raise $6000. i was raised in a very fortunate home with parents willing to do whatever it takes to help me with my dreams. i was very fortunate with my last trip, my dad helped me pay for most of it. of course with the help of some family and friends. For this trip, i have decided i want to make this not so easy and fundraise for myself. i want to earn what i will be doing. i havent fully decided how i will fundraise yet, but the first step is blogging about my new adventure starting. my next blog will be an update on how i would like to fundraise and i pray that if you’re willing, to help me get to Africa to again live in another Kingdom of God!
