Hey all,
So sorry for only one blog last week, my Tablet no longer connects to my hotels’ WiFi so posting a blog is now so much more difficult! I need to rely on cafe’s with WiFi to be open by the time we finish at the school. I am currently sitting in the cafe that is the reason for this post! So settle in, and enjoy!
While on the Race, we are encouraged to p7ay for G0D to reveal people to us that He may want us to come into contact with or just allow Him to lead us to someone. I was very excited to do this on the Race and, not going to lie, became discouraged when I did not find a “1” in India or Nepal. I happened to stumble across my “1,” at this little coffee shop I am sitting in right now!
For privacy purposes, I will call her “Laney”. She works at this coffee shop everyday starting at 6am and closing whenever she feels like she can. She works so hard, and is tired a lot, but coming into her shop was a pleasant surprise for the both of us. What drew me into her shop was the picture of freshly squeezed juice (which I was actually looking for). Came to find out she does not speak any English so she whips out Google Translator on her phone. I soon realize she just has coffee and so I order a millk cafe or Vietnamese coffee (delicious no matter what you call it). I then gesture to see her phone and we end up striking a conversation using Google Translator. Her face lit up as we typed back and fourth and enjoyed our new friendship. I have come into her shop almost every day since I discovered her shop almost 2 weeks ago.

Since meeting her, I have brought my whole team to meet her and Rachel and I come almost every morning before we go to the school! She lights up whenever we walk in. As a team, we have p7ayed for her during team times, I have not felt the tug to p7ay for her on the spot yet, maybe before we leave this weekend I will!
I have loved my time with “Laney” and I think she has enjoyed meeting me and my team too!
