Hello!! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas 🙂

I just wanted to hop on here and give you a more in depth look at my ministry for this month.

In my last blog, I shared that we are working with a couple named Samuel and Elizabeth, who have taken in 18 children to raise, while also raising 4 of their own kids. These 22 little angels are all under the age of 15. In late April, they will be taking in 5 more elementary aged kids. Then there will be 27 kids wowza!!

My team and I get the privilege of getting to know and love the 22 that are here this month. We are encouraging their parents in their ministry, and helping the kids with their English as well as encouraging the kids in their relationship with Jesus.

To say I am in love with this family is an understatement. Even though they don’t appear to have much, they have each other.  Most importantly, they have the Lord, who is so clearly guiding their steps. This is a family who worships with everything they have. I have never seen young children worship the Father with so much admiration and intensity as these kids do. Their home is surrounded on almost all sides by big buddhist temples and monasteries, but because of their worship, the Holy Spirit is felt so strongly as soon as you step into their home. If I have learned anything so far this month, it is to never underestimate a child’s ability to walk through hard things and have a deep intimate relationship with God.

Samuel and Elizabeth are doing so much more than taking in children in need of a stable home. They are emphasizing the importance of building a family in Christ. This is a country notorious for its ethnic feuds and on going civil war. Most of the children they have taken in are not of the same ethnicity and could have been taught to dislike one another because of that. Instead, Samuel and Elizabeth have shown them the importance of loving one another despite where we come from or what kind of families/situations we are born into. Christ calls us all sons and daughters and He is our Father. We are all sisters and brothers in Christ. They are teaching these kids to value themselves and the abilities God has given them to share the Good News even though they are young. Samuel and Elizabeth have made many sacrifices in order to champion children.

If that’s not inspiring I don’t know what is.

This family is a family of prayer warriors. We start and end every single day in prayer, and every day, we each give prayer requests.

Their biggest requests are:

  1. That we give thanks and praises because GOD IS GOOD
  2. That The Lord would bring revival to their country which is 95% buddhist
  3. For monthly income/financial provision for food and transportation $$
  4. For their very own car
  5. For the 5 little ones arriving in late April

I would like to ask that you partner with my team in praying for this family. The work they are doing is big and prayer is powerful. I believe with my whole heart that The Lord will answer these prayers, because I have seen Him do it before. This is a country and ministry that are very close to my heart. Thank you for the prayers already prayed. I would not be here without all of you, my supporters.
