Welcome to Thailand!

What’s up everyone! My team and I are getting settled into our place here in Chiang Mai, Thailand! Super exciting stuff awaits us like construction ministry this month, waterfalls, elephants, and just a whole lot of Jesus and adventure and love! We spent a day in Bangkok exploring before coming here, and what an amazing and huge city it was. I had no idea. Some of us went walking around and ended up at a super nice park and almost stepped on a Komodo Dragon!

Just a little recap of the rest of Cambodia: as you know we did ATL last month, which means “Ask The Lord” and just as it sounds we didn’t have any set or pre-planned ministry, and every morning we wake up, gather together as a team and ask the Lord what He wants us to do that day. There are a lot of things I loved about ATL, and things I really wish I could have done better. You have to be super intentional about ATL, since it’s so easy just to sit back and chill and not do much with your day. If you aren’t seeking God’s direction for your day and aren’t willing to be used by Him, you’re gonna have a hard time hearing from Him. If some days you feel like God is just asking you to spend time with Him in prayer and in His word, do it. Don’t ever feel guilty for just wanting to spend some alone time with God, that’s the most important relationship you could ever acquire. Just 2 simple tips: be intentional with your time and with people, and pray constantly.

Even if you’re not on the Race right now, ATL is how we should live our lives everyday as Christians, as Ambassadors for the Kingdom. Asking God to place people in your path that you could show His love to, or intercede for your family and friends. Go out and be love. Be that light. Live with intention. You never know who could benefit from a little chat at the coffee shop, maybe the barista just needs to be seen for who she really is. It’s easier than you think.

We had finished off with attending and preforming for a Christmas church service, we even went out to dinner with our neighbor and was able to share with him about Jesus and what we believe. It was super awesome and the best part is, he started the conversation about God. That door just swung wide open right in our face. God and His timing!

I really don’t have a ton to say about this month besides that we are doing some remodeling work for a school, painting and helping fix up the place. We are working with another team on our squad, YOJ. So all us girls together should be pretty fun!

Personal update: I got pretty sick the beginning of this month, I had to go to the ER as soon as we got to Chiang Mai. 2 of my teammates took me and thankfully it wasn’t anything serious. Food poisoning and a UTI. Hurt just as bad as it sounds. But some of my friends are feeling not too hot, and one of them has bronchitis, if you would love to keep our health in your prayers we would love you forever. It’s hard to share God’s love when you’re ill.

Until next time!
