WOW. This is it. This is the moment I waited 4 years for! I’m flying out with my Squad at 10:30 Tuesday night, and it’s really hitting me. For a while before I applied I didn’t even know if I could handle the Race. But I’m with such a great group of people and I am so pumped. I’ve been in Atlanta for a couple days just recapping some things and doing extra training with The World Race before we head out. Launch has been good so far!

We will be in a city called Uzhgorod in Ukraine, and I’ve heard so many good things about our host. He said we could be doing a whole bunch of different things for ministry this month such as working at a day camp with kids, holding abandoned babies in a pediatric hospital, going to orphanages, or even hanging out with the students at a coffee house. Sometimes the best things happen when you don’t see it coming. So I’m just open and I can’t wait to see what we actually end up doing. I will for sure fill you all in when I get the chance. :]

Anyways, prayer request: please pray for travel safeties tomorrow! (We will fly out of Atlanta and our layover is in Turkey, and then we will be on our way to Ukraine.) Pray that our plane rides are smooth and we get to our ministries as easy as possible! Pray for our team Submerge as we go out and do the Kingdom work. Pray for courage and open hearts, and that we keep a “yes” in our souls as to what God is calling us to do.

Also a personal prayer request, I know that I’m still called to missions after the Race is done and that’s where my heart lies, but I’m not sure exactly where I’m going after this is done. Recently God has laid on my heart to move overseas as a long term missionary. So I’m going to go deep into the ministries we work with and pray that if there is a specific one God wants me to come back to and work with that He reveals that to me. If you all wouldn’t mind keeping that in your daily prayers as well that would mean a lot to me.

All the hugs,

                Megan 🙂
