What is a void? An empty space? A space missing something?
On our bus ride from Kathmandu to Chitwan, I was listening to a song called ‘For Your Glory’ by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The song states,
‘I wanna be where you are, I gotta be where you are. Peace is where you are. Joy is where you are. Love is where you are.’
And I realized that even if a space feels void, it is NEVER void of God.
He fills the void.
He occupies the empty space.
The empty spaces in our lives…He alone fills them! There is nothing else that can fill these empty spaces but HIM. Not money, not drugs, not alcohol, not friends, not food, not adventure, not relationships, nothing. Nothing and no one BUT GOD can fill those empty voids in our lives.
So when I feel like I am standing in a void of life, where nothing is right, where I have the tendency to stress or lash out on the people around me, where I don’t feel loved or wanted, I will stand in the void with Jesus—because He fills that void.
