I am learning day by day that God will provide all my needs. From food and shelter to providing the funds I need to go on the race, He can and He will provide. I have been overwhelmed by the amount of support I have gotten during the fundraising process thus far. At first, I was so discouraged about fundraising almost $20,000 and then God taught me a little about trust (see my post ‘Trust’) and helped me see that I can trust Him. He has continued to show me little glimpses of why I should trust Him and the provision He has for me.
Last week, March 24th, I did a garage sale to raise money for this mission trip. My parents and a few good friends donated a lot of the items I sold and I was able to meet and exceed my initial goal for the sale! I was completely overwhelmed by the support I received by strangers who came to buy a used item. My sweet sister, who took the entire day to help me and be a blessing, was able to see first-hand with me the exciting things God can do! We couldn’t believe how much God raised toward my trip and it was obvious His blessing was on this mission.
Today, I opened up my blog and I saw that what I had raised was more than I had remembered it being. I didn’t remember seeing an email saying I had received a donation from anyone so I proceeded to investigate. I saw that I had a generous anonymous donation and was immediately overwhelmed with Gods provision once again. I want to say thank you to everyone who has already contributed to God’s mission that He is so graciously allowing me to be a part of! I am so excited to share in this journey with y’all as I go to the nations, share the Gospel and be the hands and feet of our Lord.
Father, I thank you for your provision. I thank you for always making yourself known to us and drawing us in to your loving and satisfying arms. I pray that my focus would be on you and the things of your Kingdom and your righteousness. Transform my heart to be a heart longing for you in all areas of my life and make my hearts desires align with yours. Amen.
