Dunamis.
‘We do not live the Christian life in our own power, but in God’s. It is God’s ability that makes us able to accomplish anything of value, for apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). It is His strength that makes us overcomers.’
Dunamis.
Power.
Strength.
Ability.
It is used 120 times in the New Testament and is usually referred to for the miraculous power of God.
Dunamis.
The place we’ve spend the last month doing ministry. WE have seen the Lord give us His Dunamis, His power and strength. There were days we felt we couldn’t go anymore and we’d ask the Lord for His strength and something miraculous would happen–our strength was restored. WE made it through every day giving 110% of what we had, because of God’s strength.
The blessing we’ve had of being at Dunamis and experiencing the Lord’s miraculous power has been one of the biggest blessings I have ever had in my life.
We come home exhausted every day but the joy and blessing we have because of this ministry is beyond any joy I’ve ever experienced.
Basically what we’ve been doing is manual labor. We build roads on the side of a mountain, haul thousands of 26 pound bricks out of a dump truck, help build a wall, use broken wheel barrows to bring cement down the mountain and from the mixing machine to the location of the wall we’re working on and more. It’s some of the hardest manual labor any of us have ever done but we wouldn’t change our ministry for the world.
The wall we are building is called Nehemiah’s wall. It will be the protecting arms around the girls that are rescued out of sex trafficking and abuse to eventually live at Dunamis. They will be protected by a wall that we got to help build! What an honor. I am so thankful for the Lord’s power and strength that He bestowed upon us this past month. I will never forget this ministry, this experience, the girls who are here and the impact the Lord made on my life by doing ministry here.
