I'm Megan.
When I was young I used to sit in my room on this bluish sleeping bag that I had next to a campfire made of construction paper. I would day dream about a great adventure in hopes of one day being a part of one.
(This is the part where I should reference the World Race and tell you how it's the big adventure that I dreamed of as a kid, but that wouldn't be true because honestly…growing up has been the biggest adventure of all.)
You see, my story is one of relentless pursual by a never stopping, never giving up, always and forever type of love.
God.
He has taken my old tired, boring, dead life and given me a brand new one filled with adventures in love, grace, hope, and righteousness. The best part is growing into this new life that He has given me. I don't understand everything and a lot of times I'm not really good at loving, or extending grace, or even living as a
daughter of the King.
But God is faithful.
He has shown me the sweetness and the power of the name of Jesus. He has reminded me that I am saved not because I am awesome but because He is. He has corrected my heart, mind, and attitude in ways only a Father can. He has spoken softly to me when most needed, He has given me people that have forever shaped the way I see love, He has given me his hand to take hold of as we journey together into the unknown by me and the always known by him.
I am so thankful for the opportunity that the World Race will be as a continuation of my adventure with the Lord. I am also hopeful that along this journey I will be able to invite other people to step into this adventure with me and to make known to the world the glory and power and richness of the Father, and his Son, the depths of which we can know only through the Spirit.
Oh, and if you're really curious I like running, music, nature, fun and chipotle but none of that compares to what is written above. 😉
