Hi friends, Megan here!
I’m from Washington State and I went on the world race in 2019; my route was Romania, Guatemala, Ecuador. It was the hardest and best thing I’ve ever done in my life. I thought the race was going to be my “big adventure” but it was really the begining of rest of my life with a realignment of focus on kingdom. I’m now still with AIM doing their CGA (Center for Global Action) program, and living in Georgia.
I went on the race in very simple terms to help people, but the Lord had much bigger plans then that. He used these people I met all around the world to teach me about the “real authentic me”, whom I had lost long ago. Living in a posture of servitude and abandonment will really bring you face to face with yourself. Its been really hard to strip off these false identities but the Lord is walking me through new heights of freedom and teaching me how to lean into healthy community.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to dicern what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans 12:2
In CGA we are learning KNOW YOURSELF, LEAD YOURSELF, LEAD OTHERS. Letting the Lord pour into our identities and learning how to walk out the deep faith we cultivated overseas here in the US and our daily lives.
Where i’m going next? who know, but I’ve learned my plans are seldom as extraordinary as where the Lord sends me. the World Race was a great adventure, but now I know the true adventure is dependency on the Lord.
Follow along this crazy adventure by subscribing,
much love, Your dear friend Meeegan(:
