Hello everyone! With the radio silence over these last few months, you may have thought I got forever lost in an African tuk-tuk riding around the streets of downtown, Tamale, Ghana.
Or, maybe you thought I was swept away while swimming in the Adriatic Sea in Montenegro.
The Romanian foster home, you might ask? I absolutely loved it there, but, that too, I did eventually have to leave.
Oh, and as much as I wanted to, I didn’t stay with these little cuties at the Cambodian elementary school where I taught English.
I loved all these amazing places and experiences, but the end of the month always comes and I always have to say good bye.
But now, I find myself in Bangkok, Thailand teaching at A-Mane English school. And, not surprisingly, I love it here!

I have made my way to the Fabb 5, a team of laughter, joy, and deep hearts for Jesus.
This month, we’re partnering with an amazing family who has dedicated their life to a business as mission kingdom calling. They are successfully running an English school here in Bangkok while spreading the gospel and the love of Jesus to every student they encounter. Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist nation and many people do not know the Good News about Jesus and his love for them. Through A Mane, the English school, this family seeks to meet the practical need for the English language while meeting the deep spiritual need of people in this country for a relationship with the one true God through Jesus Christ. And, they do it with excellence.
Learning English is extremely valuable for people here in Thailand, and Southeast Asia more broadly. As shared directly from our ministry host,
“Something really beautiful about Southeast Asia is: one of the best ministries you can do to serve those in the country is to teach English. It is incredibly respected and highly beneficial for those you serve. It opens doors for locals that are otherwise closed to them, and gives them the opportunity to work in vocations that are otherwise impossible for them to succeed in. Please take English ministry seriously in Southeast Asia; their futures depend on it. Make the most of the time and build relationships, show/teach the love of Christ.”
What a beautiful opportunity we have here to teach something so natural and fundamental to us, the English language, knowing that it will make a lasting and powerful impact on this place and these people. And, as followers of Jesus, how much more is this true. We get to share the love of Jesus, something that is the singular foundation to our lives, so natural, it is the very reason we live and move and have our being, knowing that it will make an everlasting and powerful impact on this place and these people for the kingdom of God. I count it such a blessing to be able to serve in this way.
While they are a natural part of our life, teaching these things with a language barrier is not always easy. But God triumphs over that as well. When we are weak, He is strong. For His power is made perfect in our weakness. So, for any student who learns English from us, and anyone who comes to know the love of Christ that saves their life, may it be out of our weakness so that God receives all the glory forever and ever. A-Mane!
