Hi!

I’m going to start with a confession. Confession is good for the soul, right? Anyway, I really, really dislike about me pages. I never know what to write which is weird since it is about me. :/ Well let’s give it a try.

My name is Megan Williamson. I live in Gonzales, Texas. I teach at Grace Christian Academy. I am a bibliophile (go look it up). I live with a giant, orange, fluffy cat named Elijah. And most importantly I LOVE JESUS!

I knew I was called to missions around age 12. During my first year in youth I remember watching this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITmHLf1DB_0 You should watch it. Don’t worry; I’ll wait.

Did you watch it? Well, if you didn’t, you should. This story makes a lot more sense if you watch it. Anyway, I saw the video during a presentation about missions and was supremely confused. I was sitting there watching and thinking, “Why wouldn’t you want to go to Africa? Wait, people don’t want to go on mission trips? Seriously?!”

Since that day I have been wanting to go to Africa to spread the hope of Jesus. So far God hasn’t led me to Africa. I’ve been to Central America, Asia, and Europe. On the World Race I’m going to South America, Europe, and Asia. I knew God was at work when this route caught my attention. If it was up to me I would want an all-Africa route but God’s plans are better than mine.

So basically I love Jesus. I try to learn more about Him and grow closer to Him all the time. I want the whole world to know about Him. I hope someday that includes me going to Africa. My biggest hope is to make the gospel attractive wherever I find myself whether is be Texas, Colombia, Montenegro, or India.
