To celebrate the half way point in the race, I thought I would share a few of my favorite moments. Most of them are silly, but I have the sense of humor of a 10 year old. So here we go!
Costa Rica
There are a couple of moments that stick out in my mind! I loved having the crazy, large pot luck dinner! All the food was so good, it felt as if we were at banquet fit for princes and princesses! The only thing that would have made it perfect was if we were in suits and evening gowns, but thats my inner-princess coming out!

The men at our house in Costa Rica had a night planned for us that was full of laughter, dancing, and snacks. It was such a great night! A night to remember!

Nicaragua
Fun fact about Megan, I love pop… especially cold pops! We would get pop at people's houses! You would just knock on the door or walk in ask for "un coca cola por favor "! They would usually get it out their personal fridge full of their own food! There was a shortage of Coke for a while when the world racers came into town! I think we put some of the families' children to college with the amount of pop we bought while in Nicaragua!

We had a chance to make a house for a single mother named Rebecca and her seven year old daughter. This was such a cool experience for us. We were able to give a family a home. We also had a blast playing in the mud while building the house. We could of even made mud angels…..

Honduras
We ate our meals with our contact and his family. During one meal we play a game that consisted of a bunch of bananas and laughter! Our contact with count to three and whoever laughed first had to eat a banana while everyone watched! Needless to say, I ate my fair share of bananas! Most of our ministry this month was to love on our contact's family! We had so much fun together! Whether it was making food in the kitchen with mama Norma or having a three year old child who claimed she was a princess tell us what to do. This meant we had forced dance party daily. We played games with their 14 year old son and went sledding down hills with no snow! The month was one to remember, so full of love and laughter!
Thailand
We were in Thailand during their water festival (Songkran), which meant the whole country was involved in a massive water fight! People packed the streets armed with their buckets and water guns. This was one of the coolest experiences!

We took the boys from our English class to the zoo, all of us had a blast. We couldn't stop smiling all day long. There was so much laughter and joy with feeding all the animals and to our 10 billion snack breaks.

The boys took us to a BBQ Thai Buffet to say goodbye. This night was amazing. Never in my life have I been treated so well and this was by two 16 year old boys. Annie and I sat with two of our boys. They made all of our food on the thai grill and fed us like queens. They would not let us get up it get anything. I made a statement once about how I like steak and two seconds later there came a huge plate of steak. This was a night to remember.

Malaysia
Well, in Malaysia was the first time I have ever rock climbed, and maybe the last. No, climbing the mountain was an awesome experience. I was able to get over some of my biggest fears. I learned about trust. I gained trust with my team and also started a journey with God on why I wasn't trusting him. You learn some of the biggest lessons when you least expect them!

During this month we taught in an English center. We weren't allow to speak of Jesus this month. We were in constant prayer, praying that just our presence would change the atmosphere. That people would see something different in us and start to question what it was that we had. I taught an adult English class with a few of my other teammates. We had two Muslim girls in this class. On our last class day, we went through our lesson faster than we expected. We asked the girls if they would want to go out to eat with us. The girls got excited and told us they had the perfect place to go. They drove us to an awesome little cafe where we ate in a tree house! They ordered their favorite foods for us to try. Bekah might have eaten octopus! The girls told us this was the first time they had ever hung out with westerners before! We planned to take the girls out to eat to bless them, but in the end, the girls blessed us with a great night and they paid for our food as well!

Cambodia
We are living in a beach town this month, which is AWESOME! We had the chance to go snorkeling and island hopping last weekend! We spent the day on a wooden boat that had cockroaches crawling out of it, with waves that felt and looked like we were going to have the same destiny as the Titanic. This was one the of the best days! It was a day full of laughter, sun, relaxing, joy, and praise!
So we were told before coming to Cambodia that we could get some really cheap glasses! Well, I'm as blind as a bat and my newest pair of glasses fall off my faces whenever I looked down. So I decided to check this out. We entered into the eye glass store and I fell in love with a pair of black hipster Chanel glasses. I asked the lady at the store how much they would cost. She tells me $35.00 for everything! What is everything? She informs me an eye appointment, the frames and my lens and they could be ready tomorrow morning! What??? I could not pass by this opportunity! I think I was more excited about getting an eye appointment in Cambodia than the glasses! So, they sat me down and started to check my eyes! Once they had a good idea about what prescription I needed, they started putting on these huge Mr. McGoo glasses on me. They ask me to walk around the store to make sure I could see! Then they told me to read some street sign down the street! This experience made me laugh so much, the whole time I could see God just shaking his head at me and chuckling. Well I got my glasses, I'm pretty sure they are fake but I can see down a Cambodian street in them so that is all that matters!

Heres to the next 5 months!!!
