Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be attempting to go on a trip like the World Race. This was not in my plan but God does not always listen to our ideas.
A few months ago I was sitting in my apartment wondering what was next for my life. Everything was going well, I had a great job, I was making it financially, and I was living in a cute little apartment decorated to a T which had way too many accessories for the square footage. I even had a little puppy accessory named, Rigsby. He is full of energy and spunk.

But I felt like something was missing. I began searching the internet for something that would change up my daily routine. I wanted to do something that would impact lives, and add adventure. I happened upon a number of websites for short term and long term mission trips. Somehow the World Race kept drawing me in. The World Race intrigued me but seemed way outside of my comfort zone. I told many people about the idea and most laughed when I describe traveling to 11 countries in 11 months living out of a backpack and sleeping in a tent.
As much as I tried to push aside the desire to go on the World Race and give into the doubts, God continued to make it obvious that this is a trip he wants me to be on. Everything on this trip stretches me but I think that is exactly what God wants.
So as I begin this journey I look forward to the opportunity to speak God’s truth into people’s lives, grow in my spiritual walk, live in community with fellow believers, learn to fully depend on God, and have a little adventure in the process.
