I am captivated with love for this country. I think I say that in each country, but something is different in Nicaragua.
This is a place of freedom.
This is a place where Joy is tangible. You can feel it in the giggles of the children, you can feel it when you go for a nighttime run hand & hand with some of the boys from the ministry home, you can feel it when they come out of nowhere- snatch you by the arm and tackle hug you to the floor.
This is a place where my Spirit sours in wide open fields because there is so much room for running, jumping, dancing, and playing.
This is a place of selflessness. Where everyday the kids are laying down their needs to help each other- to help us.
This is a place of radical love. Where staff and teachers have been invested for years and years to see these kids excel in school, to partner with their families to see real change happen in the homes they are coming from. This isn’t just a place where kids who come from bad homes to receive tutoring, meals, and counseling, but the whole family. It’s organic. It’s believing in transformation for the whole unit.
This is a place where believing in someone changes everything. Everyday speaking into their lives helping them to see the potential they carry.
Jesus is going to have His way with this place. He has so much room to roam! & where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is FREEDOM.
This is a month of commitment for me. To be committed to these kids. To be committed to pray for them, their lives, their families, their needs- no matter how BIG or small. They deserve the desires of their hearts. They were created to pursue those desires and I am partnering that God will fulfill those desires for them. No amount of money they do or don’t have can prevent that from happening. I am committed to see the God of the impossible move.
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified that you may bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.”
John 15
