My mother reminded me of something our pastor shared with us tonight,
“You know, there is always going to be a hard road and an easy road. The best decision is to ALWAYS choose the hard road, because this is the road that forces you to lean on and trust God through it all”.
This reigns truth.
I would be lying if I were to say I have’t become really anxious about what the Lord has recently called me too. Thinking about leaving home, raising the necessary money, and all the things I have to get done in preparation for what is coming up, can quickly become overwhelming.
But, once I let the reality of who HE is sink in, I am reminded of why I am doing this all in the first place. He has chosen me and called me to this very moment. His plans are far greater than my fears, doubts, or worries and when I choose to turn to Him in those moments of doubt, He encounters my thoughts with His promises and presence and breathes purpose back into my life. What a blessing it is that we get to have this communion with the King of heaven and earth. So instead of anxiety, I am coming like a child, full of joy and excitement for this new season where I get to grow, learn, and be molded as I trust in His plans and purpose for my life.
Here are just a few verses, reminding us that He is omniscient (all-knowing) and omnipotent (all-powerful)
“Great is our Lord and mighty in power;his understanding has no limit. ” Psalm 147:5
“And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13
“Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.” Psalm 139:4
And how could I forget?! Merry Christmas everyone! God bless you all.
Your Sister in Christ, Megan
